SEMSA carries out plans and studies to create new mountain resorts as well as improving and optimizing already existing ones.
These studies, based on the analysis of a group of environmental variables, include proposals that supply all the intrinsic aspects of mountain resorts: lift networks, downhill ski runs, artificial snow networks, cross-country skiing runs, itineraries, catering, ski schools, service buildings, technical premises, basic supplies, machinery, personnel...
They also keep in mind the external surroundings of the resort: lodging facilities, access roads, and other points of tourist interest...
The technical as well as the economic viability of proposals are assessed establishing an investment calendar that permits a short- and long-term financial balance.
The integral vision in these complex types of studies is essential for its success. Planning documents mark the path to follow to develop a mountain resort.
Lifts
SEMSA elaborates basic and constructive projects for cable transportation installations, selecting the best lines, the balance with downhill slopes and other infrastructures, the available technology that best adjusts to the specific conditions and the best service/cost ratio.
Our intervention in the design and construction of lifts can be done at different levels: integral project management, elaboration of technical documents, construction site management, obtaining administrative authorizations, and punctual and timely advice.
With the lifts running, we oversee the technical supervision and improvement of the machinery and adapt to new regulatory, management and commercial needs.
Cable transportation is our specialized field that best reflects our technical experience guaranteed by the numerous installations we have built.
Ski runs
SEMSA has the technical capacity to design downhill and cross-country runs, beginners’ zones, kids’ zones, and also areas for new tendencies that ski resorts offer, such a snowparks.
The rationalization of this type of runs within the resort complex, the comfort and attraction they offer to the skier and the integration in the surroundings is essential at the time of carrying out these projects.
Snowmaking installations
SEMSA plans, projects, and manages the execution of the work and all the elements that make up this type of installation; water collection, pools and tanks to store the water, snow production centers, distribution networks to the ski runs and managing operations.
The good running and optimization of resources are our priority objectives in our artificial snowmaking installations.
